The Wyandotte County-KCK Unified Government Commission will meet Thursday evening at 7:00 PM, primarily to consider zoning changes previously approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission.
These changes include rezoning for duplexes and triplexes in the 4200 block of Adams and the 1000 block of Armstrong.
The commission will also vote on a special use permit for a youth camping and nature area in the mostly forested area in Argentine near the intersection of Woodend and Glenrose Lane.
The commissioners will also consider permits for a event space at 735 Minnesota Ave. and live entertainment at the Q13 Sports Bar on 13th Street south of Quindaro Blvd.
The meeting agenda includes voting on an amendment to the American Royal project bond issuance to further push back the timeline for issuance of the related industrial bonds.
Debt reduction will also be on the agenda, with a resolution for the city manager to present options on directing ten percent of future new revenue toward paying off the county’s existing obligations.
Damage to the Wyandotte County Lake Marina from May’s severe windstorm will require a budget amendment to transfer the reserve funds needed for the repairs.
Resolutions honoring the local Martin Luther King Jr. Day Committee, as well as 50-year Central Avenue mainstay Michael’s Heritage Florist will be presented.
