The Street Maintenance Division of the Unified Government has started pre-treating bridges, hills, and emergency routes in expectation of heavy snow this weekend. After completing these critical areas, the department will move on to pre-treating all KCK and Wyandotte County neighborhood streets.

Free Christmas tree recycling available at parks
From now through January 31, 2025, the Unified Government Parks and Recreation Department will recycle Christmas trees through drop-offs at four sites around the area. The department asks that all decorations be removed from trees before dropping them off. The four sites are:
