Four KCK faves in 2026 Restaurant Week line-up

Kansas City Restaurant Week 2026 showcases the metro area’s vibrant culinary scene, with four KCK restaurants participating in this year’s event, offering diners a diverse array of flavors from authentic Mexican cuisine to Louisiana-style seafood and island-inspired fare.

Amigos Grill & Cantina

This beloved Turner neighborhood spot located at 2737 South 47th Street, Amigos Grill & Cantina has a family-friendly sports bar vibe. Just off Shawnee Drive near I-635, it’s conveniently located.

Amigos is taking an open-ended approach to its Restaurant Week menu. Any entree on the regular menu can be incorporated in the prix fixe structure, bundled with a house margarita (or soft drink) and their signature Amigo Dip (or queso or bean dip).

Hours during Restaurant Week: Monday-Thursday 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday-Saturday 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Sunday 12 p.m.-8 p.m. For reservations, call 913-722-9800.

Playa & Mezcal Mexican Seafood

Just across from Amigos at 4601 Shawnee Drive, Playa & Mezcal has a very different take on Mexican food, with a serious focus on authentic coastal cuisine.

Playa & Mezcal’s Restaurant Week lunch menu opens with soup of the day or a house salad, with choice of Shrimp Tacos, Flautas de Pollo, Quesadilla Tarasca, or Chicken Fajitas as the entree. Dessert is strawberry-topped Flan de Cafe.

The dinner menu considerably expands the entree selections and leans into the restaurant’s seafood expertise. Camarones Roca, Grilled Salmon, Pulpo Zarandeado (marinated, grilled octopus), and the Chef’s Special (grilled talapia with smothered shrimp) highlight the offerings.

If you happen to take a non-seafood lover with you, a 12-ounce KC strip is also on the dinner menu, and a Tres Leches Cake is available as a second dessert option.

The restaurant features a full bar serving margaritas, piña coladas, palomas, and other cocktails, along with micheladas.

Hours during Restaurant Week: Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday-Saturday with extended hours. For reservations or information, call 913-400-2300 or visit www.playaymezcalmexicanseafood.com.

LandShark Bar & Grill

The LandShark Bar & Grill at the Margaritaville Hotel (1491 N. 98th Terrace) conveys the cool, laid-back island vibe of its beloved founder.

LandShark has both lunch and dinner menus for Restaurant Week, showcasing their “classically beachy, American tavern fare.”

The two-course lunch menu starts with a house or Caesar salad. Entree selections are blackened Fish Tacos, the LandShark Burger (double-stacked with cheese), and the Jerk Chicken Wrap.

The three-course dinner menu opens with Spinach & Artichoke Dip or Beach Chips with queso. Dinner entrees include the LandShark Burger, Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich, Steak Tacos, and Caribbean Chicken Salad. Dessert is a choice of Sea Salt Caramel Cheesecake or Key Lime Pie.
