The Unified Government will move forward with Phase 2 of the Residential Trash and Recycling Carts Pilot Program in early 2026, expanding cart-based service to additional households across KCK.

The carts program replaces loose bags and personal containers with standardized 96-gallon trash and recycling carts designed for automated collection. Participating households will receive one trash cart and one recycling cart.
