KCK man charged with Brooks slaying

From a Kansas City, Kan. press release:

“The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department announced today that the suspect in the November 30th shooting death of 17-year-old, Nicholas Brooks, has now been charged in Wyandotte County.

Officers with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department took the suspect, Sean Lyle Marshall, 8-23-1982, a resident of Kansas City, Kan., into custody last Wednesday after he barricaded himself inside a home near McGrew Grove and Quindaro Blvd. The Wyandotte County District Attorney has now charged him with aggravated endangering of a child under 18; criminal possession of a firearm by a felon; and intentional 2nd degree murder. He is currently being held in the Wyandotte County Jail on a $250,000 bond.

This incident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department Major Case Unit. Anyone with information on this case is urged to call the Crime Stoppers TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).”
